What a season it has been for Lucy Yeomans Racing.Our first racing season has officially come to an end, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our team and horses have achieved throughout 2025/26.Across the season, we saddled up 46 runners, producing 10 winners, 8 seconds and 3 thirds.That gave us an impressive 22% winning strike rate and a 46% place strike rate — numbers that we’re incredibly proud of as a young and growing stable.While the statistics tell one story, the memories created throughout the season mean even more. From our first runner and first winner, to metropolitan victories and watching our horses continue to progress, it has been a hugely rewarding journey.None of it would be possible without our incredible team at home, our loyal owners and everyone who has supported Lucy Yeomans Racing along the way.We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds. With plenty of exciting horses coming through the stable, we’re looking forward to building on our first season and making 2026/27 even bigger and better.Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. Saturday was a day we'll never forget as Changing Colours delivered Lucy Yeomans Racing's first ever winner at Flemington.Winning at one of Australia's most iconic racecourses is a milestone every trainer dreams of, and to achieve it with this little mare made the moment even more special.A huge congratulations and thank you to Luke Cartwright, who gave Changing Colours a beautifully judged ride. Luke showed great confidence throughout the race, positioning her perfectly before asking for her effort at the right time. She responded brilliantly, digging deep to record a memorable metropolitan victory.We're also incredibly grateful to her wonderful ownership group – Brae, Ozzie and Bill – for their support and belief in both Changing Colours and our stable. Celebrating a Flemington winner together is something we'll all cherish for years to come.This result is a credit to everyone involved behind the scenes. Our hardworking team has done a fantastic job preparing Changing Colours, and it's incredibly rewarding to see that work rewarded on racing's biggest stage.A special mention must also go to Parvati Party, who produced a gallant performance to finish fourth in the Deane Lester Cup. She never stopped trying against quality opposition and once again proved she belongs at metropolitan level. Parvati Party delivered a memorable metropolitan victory at Sandown, overcoming a testing run in transit to produce an outstanding finish under a patient ride from Caitlin Hollowood.The race wasn't unfolding as planned, with "Pav" cluttered up along the rail and unable to build momentum. Rather than forcing the issue, Hollowood showed excellent patience and composure, waiting for the right moment to present itself. Once clear, Parvati Party charged home to score an impressive city win.This impressive metropolitan success is a testament to Parvati Party's determination, the confidence shown by Caitlin Hollowood in the saddle, and the hard work of the entire Lucy Yeomans Racing team.Congratulations to all of Parvati Party's owners on another special milestone. Love Sparkles made an immediate impact for her new connections, producing a terrific performance to win at her very first start for the Lucy Yeomans Racing stable. Another affordable online purchase, Love Sparkles once again highlights the value that can be found away from the major sales rings. The mare settled beautifully throughout the race before letting down strongly when a gap opened, to score an impressive victory. Rewarding her owners with instant success. To see her perform so well at her first run for the stable was incredibly pleasing and a testament to the hard work of the team at home. We are excited to see what the future holds for Love Sparkles as she continues her racing campaign. The victory was a fantastic result for her ownership group and another example that quality racehorses can still be sourced without breaking the bank.

Thunder Hawk delivered a well-deserved victory at Seymour, producing a strong performance under a brilliant ride from Brad Rawiller.Rawiller gave the mare every chance throughout, settling her into a comfortable rhythm before timing their run to perfection. When asked for an effort in the straight, 'Hawky' responded strongly to race clear and secure an impressive win.The result was particularly rewarding for her loyal owners, Kariba Racing, who have been wonderful supporters of the stable. It was a rewarding day for connections when Parvati Party broke through for a deserved victory at Kilmore, producing a strong performance under the guidance of Declan Bates.Purchased for just $15,000 through the Inglis Online Sale, 'Pav' has proven to be a fantastic acquisition. Her win is a reminder that success in racing isn't always determined by a horse's purchase price, but by patience, placement, and giving them every opportunity to reach their potential.Bates gave Parvati Party a smooth run throughout, when he asked the mare for an effort from the 800m mark she responded strongly to take out the win. The result was particularly pleasing for all involved, with the mare rewarding the faith shown in her since her purchase. Wins like these make the racing journey worthwhile.We are delighted to see Parvati Party continue to progress and look forward to what lies ahead for this honest mare in form.

Champagne Jenni announced herself in the best possible way, producing an outstanding first up victory for the stable, and rewarding everyone who has been involved in her journey.
Resuming from a spell and having not raced since August last year, she returned to the track in superb order. While race fitness is always a query after a long break, we were confident she had come back a more furnished and focused mare. To see her win first-up was exceptional.
Expertly ridden by Craig Williams, Champagne Jenni was given every chance to show her ability. Craig rode her with patience and confidence, allowing her to settle before producing a strong finishing effort when it mattered most. She responded courageously, showing both class and determination to secure the win.
Owned by Tony Ottobre, Champagne Jenni has always shown ability, but she has truly been a work in progress. This result is a reflection of the time, effort and thought that goes into every horse in our care. We pride ourselves on a hands-on, individual approach, and our one-on-one training style has really suited this mare. She has thrived with the extra attention, building strength and confidence at her own pace.
At LYR we believe that developing horses isn&rsquo;t about rushing them, it&rsquo;s about understanding them. Champagne Jenni is a wonderful example of how patience and tailored training can bring out the best in a horse. To see her return from nearly six months away and perform at that level is incredibly rewarding for the entire team.

Lining up as the stable&rsquo;s first runner of the new year, Jenni the Fox produced a dominant performance to score by two lengths, securing the first stakes win for the team in the process.
