A Magical Milestone: Enchanted Jenni Delivers Our First Winner

In a moment that will forever be etched in our stable’s history, Enchanted Jenni broke through with a powerful and emotional win — delivering Lucy Yeomans Racing’s  very first winner and marking a significant milestone for everyone involved.

Lining up at Sandown under the guidance of champion jockey Blake Shinn, Enchanted Jenni lived up to her name, producing a strong and stylish performance that had the entire team beaming with pride. For trainer Lucy Yeomans, the result was more than just a race — it was the realisation of a dream years in the making.

“It’s hard to put into words what this win means,” said Lucy Yeomans. “To have Enchanted Jenni be our first winner, at a metro track, with Blake in the saddle and our team behind us — it’s incredibly special.”

The win was made all the more meaningful by the people who helped make it happen. Blake Shinn, one of Australia’s most respected jockeys — and the partner of Lucy, a key part of the stable — gave Enchanted Jenni a perfectly judged ride, showing patience early before timing the run to perfection in the home straight.

At her side every step of the way was Taylah Ingram, the stable’s right-hand girl and strapper of EJ, whose care and dedication played a crucial role in getting the mare to the races in top condition.

Of course, none of it would be possible without the support of owner Tony Ottobre, whose belief in the stable and love for the game has been a driving force behind the scenes. Tony’s long-time commitment to racing and the Jenni-named horses made this result especially sweet.

“We’ve got an amazing little team, and this win is for them, It takes a village — and I’m so proud of ours.”

The atmosphere in the mounting yard post-race was one of pure joy, hugs, and a few happy tears — the kind of scenes that remind everyone why they do it.

With Enchanted Jenni now a winner and momentum on our side, the stable is just getting started. But no matter what comes next, this first win — at Sandown, with this horse, this team, and this story — will always be unforgettable.
